if you think diplomatic talks with terrorist will get them to stop hating us and never attack us agian, what would you be willing to give them?

Funny thing is that our government negotiated with them when they were enemies of USSR. You can't negotiate with a terrorist, but you can create conditions so that more are not led into that position. For example, get out of Iraq and finish the job in Afganistan.

Diplomacy does not cost the lives of 3,000 Americans. It is merely two interested parties meeting at a table with an unbiased mediator to work out problems, create proactive dialogue, and meet at a middle ground toward a viable and equitable solution.

No. How would you tell who is the terrorist to talk with?. This is what you don't understand. Terrorist are cowards, they would never face any service member or even the average American, they do the dirty work behind your back. There are 8 billion in our world that follow Islam, would you kill them all? I would not.

if diplomacy means attacking another country for oil, then no. if you mean the real diplomacy, then no because terrorists are A55HOLES.

what you gotta realize is that terrorists(referring to al queda and such) are attacking our country because of religious rather than materialistic reasons. they are afraid that the liberal "western culture" would spread to their country, therefore are attacking us to stop this from happening. the only way diplomatic talks can happen is if we all convert to islam. seeing how that is virtually impossible, negotiations will never happen unless we can offer them something even more spiritualistic than conversion to islam. (unlikely)

It has never worked in history. All conflict of this level is only ended by violence.
