Hi John: No I'm not Fred and I do not live in the UK. I did see your question though and since Fred had given you a good answer I didn't bother.

I also book two rooms on some trips to Las Vegas. My daughter and niece are best buddies and love LV. We started getting the second room when they turned 14.

We stay at the Orleans, they have rooms that are joined by a very convienient door, convienient because we can leave the door open, or close it when necessary.

The Orleans is a nice 3 star hotel with over size rooms, and tons of things for them to do >Movies, bowling, arcade, great places to eat, nice pool. There site to check it out
http://www.orleanscasino.com >1-702-365-7111 or 1-800-675-3267

We book the room directly with the Orleans. We search our favorite LV travel sites, after we find the best rate we call the Orleans and they price match that rate. The Orleans has a free shuttle that runs from 9:30am to midnight, about every 20 minutes to and from the strip(Barbary Coast).

for room rates

to read some hotel reviews

Another suggestion would be the Frontier - Atrium suites, a 1 br suite. Travelworm is offering a free upgrade to a 1br suite at the same price as a regular room.

Both of my options(Orleans & Frontier) are value oriented, if money is no object the sky is the limit in LV. Also, if you plan to stay for a week or more you might consider this option >http://www.budgetsuites.com they are 1 and 2 br condos that rent by the week.

Hi,

The last few years I have been staying at the Rio Suites which I book directly through Harrahs (www.harrahs.com -- see "cheap deals section") who own half the casinos on the strip (or so it seems). I book on-line. I book twice; once for each room and both in my name. When I check in, there has never been a question about seeing any id of the rest of my family. I really don't think there is a problem, but if you are uneasy, why not just call the hotel directly? Of course you don't even have to go to the desk to check out.

I used to travel to the UK a lot in years past. It seemed to me thI saw better deals for air/hotel packages over there in London than we were getting here in the USA. This was a while back though - not sure nowadays.

You'll have a great time in Vegas. The people who say Vegas is only for ppl 21 and over are way too absorbed in drinking and gambling (and nightclubs). Vegas has a multitude of great things to do. After you've seen the museums and zoos in all the other boring cities, come to Vegas to experience all the rest.

BTW, Rio Suites works best for my family because having very large, comfortable rooms in a large casino-hotel complex suits us best for our style of seeing Vegas. Rio seems to be the best cost tradeoff for our family. You may have other concerns and may well find one of the less expensive Strip hotels more to your liking (Flamingo, Excaliber, Luxor, Stratosphere). Get on their mailing lists and you'll get notices of room deals in you email.
