I was attacked by a german shepherd about a year and a half ago. Believe me, when I see a strange dog now I am completely controlled, no, paralized by my fear. That totally bites (pun intended) because I've always been a dog lover. I don't want to be controlled by my fear but I definitely am. When that's going on the voices in my heard are saying "woof, woof, snarl, bark, bark, bark". I listen and freeze in my tracks.

No--I try to face them head on and then I find out they were not as bad as I feared( I hope that makes sense, the voices said it did)

Sometimes about the fears, but since the voices speak Portuguese, I don't pay much attention.

No. Not since I decided to recognize them, understand them, and confront them. I realized they were the cause of a lot some of my character defects, and in order for me to be a better person, I must overcome my short comings.
If I had voices in my head...I'd seek professional help.

Unfortunately, yes. But once in awhile they let me come here.

But on a more serious note...
My fears do control my safety in water.
Icannot go to water abouve my collar bone, or i start to have labored breathing, almost drowned a couple of years ago...

No, I've learned to ignore the fears. I'm deathly afraid of bats, but I still fish until after dark.
