My Husband wanted to name our daughter Cleo. I told him if he wanted a daughter named Cleo he better find another woman to have his child. We finally agreed on this. I got to pick the first name and he got to pick the middle. I now have a beautiful little girl named Kylie Oasis. Problem with that. We are now trying for another baby and he said this time he gets to pick the first name and I can pick the middle name...hes thinking Slash or Blade for a boy....oh i dug myself in didn't I?...Best solution...get ready for this one, its a promised winner.
Go out and buy a baby name book and a black marker. Go through the book and black out every name you couldn't imagine using. Then hand him the book and let him pick out of whats left. Its worked for quite a few people. Everyone I've given this advice to Good luck and please write me and let me know how it works! Looking forward to hearing "You were right." Ha ha and Congrats on the baby.

Look Through A Baby Name Book And Try To Decided Which Name You Both Like And Of One Of You Like On And The Other Doesnt Combine Names Together, Like The Name You Like As Either The First Of Middle Name And The Name He Likes As The First Or Middle Name.
Good Luck=]

Hee hee hee, my partner and I went through this too. For a month after my son was born, we called him "baby". Finally, on the last day we were able to file his name with the city clerk rather than file with the province, I said "we've got to name The Baby. How about Isaac?" Neither of us liked the name or hated it, so we put it on a form and I took it to the city clerk. Seven months later, Isaac has completely grown on us as a name. In the end, all the effort to pick out a name and argument over the matter was for naught, because we've found that no matter what name you choose, you learn to love it because it's the name of the person you love most.

Don't just pick names at random. Follow some of the tips like don't pick a first name that ends in the same sound that the middle name begins with. Chose names due to meaning, that's what we did with our last baby and it worked out best. Also, maybe go with a family name or you pick the first name and he can pick the middle?

wow sounds exactly like me and my hubby! We just can't agree for anything. I don't really know what to do either, so I guess I am not much help to you. He likes names that have meaning to him such as his name, his best friends name, his grandmas name and I want a unique name that no one has, or that no one we know closely has, anyway I don't know what is gonna happen. I wish you all the best and I hope you find a great name that works for the both of you. Congrats!

My sister had a friend that she made agreement the a six months she get to pick to sex and he had another. She would have a ultrasound, find out the sex and pick that one.
If you do not know the sex, have you pick a sex and your husband has the other one. You have a 50% chance of getting your name. My sister friend would have 100% chance
You can also have a vote here.
You both put names, and have us vote
Good luck the name
Congratulation

While I was pregnant I would just use the name I liked a lot. After a while my husband said he was getting used to the sound of it and liking it more every day. That's the name we ended up using.

My co-worker couldn't pick a name.
So, she, and her husband got a baby name book, and highlighted the top 26 names they liked.
Would you believe there was only 1 name in common???
So, they picked that name. The middle name was then a family name.
I don't know what will happen if she gets pregnant again.

My husband and I had the same problem with our first. We'd sit down every evening and discuss. To my surprise he had some that I liked, but thought he wouldn't like. But, we ended up choosing a family name - naming him after my grandpa.
My hubby turns to mush in the delivery room. This time around he's letting me decide knowing if I see the baby and call her Maria that's gonna be the end of it :))) Heck, I carried her for nine months and pushed her out...I ought to have some clought!
Either way...he knows it will be Maria or Roman ;)
Perhaps just repeating it to him every day will help. I know I got a Christmas ornament with an expecting bear trimming a tree with bottles and binkys. On the side it says EXPECTING: Maria Novella or Roman Giovanni-Paolo.
hehehehe
Do you know the sex? It's easier to say "Won't Roman look so cute in thsi?" Or, "Roman will just love his nursery!"
I think if he realizes you aren't giving in he'll come around. Honestly, men realize how much this means to us and they'll quit. Mine did...

Each of you can make a list of 20 names you like, then trade lists and rate the names from 1 to 20. This should help you to understand each other a little better! (I hope!)
