im indian too, your friend should head to bobbi brown for foundation. It matches skin perfectly and makes your skin look really smooth and glowy. (£24-£26). If she's on a tighter budget, try Mac, their makeup is ok (£12-£16) they have a range of colours for all skins.

On her eyes during the day she should use earthy, natural colours like bronze, gold and brown. Peachy tones also looks good on indian skin. She should try Mac as they have the best range of eyeshadows (£11) and christian dior also do some amazing quads (£32).

If shes looking to go clubbing she should try indigoes, violets, and deep rich greens. Anything, dark, rich and shimmery looks best on indian skin unless shes super pale, she can get away with pinks and blues. Again go to Mac.

For lipsticks and lipglosses she should try peaches, pinks, and golds. They look good on tanned skin, Stila do amazing shades and the packaging is cute. I like peach and grapefruit from their range (£16). Chanel also do one called watermelon and it looks natural and glossy. (£14).

For blushers, try natural shades, pink looks good, the intensity should be picked according to her colouring. Mac do one called Gingerly (£11) which looks natural and the colour is buildable for nights. She can also try apricot and peachy tones. They look incredible on tanned skin.

The darker her skin, the brighter the colours she can carry off. If shes pale she can try paler shades. If shes darker, she should avoid pinks, blues, silvers and any pastel shades at all costs. They make indian skins look greyish and dull. The other colours mentioned will bring out the golden tonesin her skin.

if she needs foundation to cover zits thats the hardest part so i would go into the mall and at the makeup counter and ask them which products would be best and they can show you the best stuff to get.. also if you cant afford that (most people dont) take the advice she/he gives you and find stuff that is less expensive at Wal-mart or Walgreens or wherever you shop..if she has great skin then its still fun to go to the mall because you get a free makeover, ( i would do it just for fun) but not necessary.Gold is really in and so for spring/summer bronzer is a must this season her eye shadow would depend on her undertone but im gonna guess that a medium purple would look great bringing out that gold bronzer green also would be a good one.eyeliner isnt necessary unless going on a date and even then probably not during summer it tends to streak and smear in the hot temp and humidity and always going to the pools and such go with mascara if needed one that will lenthen or volumize if needed and maybe even a waterproof one that wont run in these summer temperatures. lip gloss is the best try getting one with sunscreen though because even in winter there are harsh conditions. if you're not sure where to start . go with the skin first, if she doesnt need cover up (no zits) then just get lip gloss and then eye shadow, blush/bronzer, and go from there. you dont have to get it all at the same time in fact I would recommend only doing one or two at first then move on once youve mastered those. Have fun and Good luck!

well with her brown eyes and skin she will look awsome in plums, violets and smokey greys for her eyes and for blush she can go with a more mauve colour just on the apples of her cheeks...lips, stick to nice sheer colours no glimmers but a nice shine, use a gloss...stay away from liner but if u want to choose a soft grey and it goes really nice with the plums and some good mascara on top lashes not bottom...it brings attention to any dark circles....and u r good to go. Hope this helps

Instead of the common blacks and very deep dark blues try neutral colors as well as deep reds for the lips with a gloss to then, for her eyes go for golds and bronze. Try these colors.
