Sdi is a standard diesel engine which performs 90bhp (standard rating from manufacturer) while the Tdi is a turbo charged engine which performs 110bhp (standard rating from manufacturer).
An Sdi is quick yes and their only advantage is that you will have a cheaper running cost engine because it will be more economical than a turbo one.
An Ibiza Sdi is not that bad in terms of performance but if you want the best performance from it then go for a Tdi one. Btw the engine is exactly the same as the Golf engine the only difference is the top cover.

The SDI Engine Isnt The Most Accomplished In Volkswagens Caddy Range But If Cutting Costs Is Your Number One Priority, It Could Be The Sensible Option. Steve Walker Reports
Its reassuring to know that £900 can still buy you quite a lot, even in this day and age. Its a sum that would land you a viable, if slightly elderly, used supermini or a fairly impressive wide-screen television. With a wedge of those proportions, you could pack yourself off on a foreign holiday to any number of far-flung destinations, fill your boots at Harrods and Harvey Nicks or carry out a 900-item sweep of your local pound store. As it happens, £900 is also the difference between the SDI and TDI engine options in the Volkswagen Caddy range.

I am pretty sure, SDi stands for single point direct injection, also has no turbo, in this case. TDi is turbo diesel injection and is a common rail injection or possible multi point injection, IE newer technology = more efficient.

Well the car I have is a Golf TDI and if you compare it to the SDI model it is way better in terms of performance and economy. So im thinking for Ibiza it would be the same.

sdi doesn't have a turbo so the difference would be about 30 bhp. The car you're talking about would be dead as a doornail. Quicker acceleration in a coffin
