Today during P.E we were working with work out machines, including bikes, rowing machines, legg press, legg extension, ect.

Anyway, I was really going hard on the bikes when the seat somehow was wrongly adjusted and my feet flew off the pedals. Both of my knees got banged up by part of the bike, and I didn't notice. When I had realized it, it was around 5 minutes later and my gym teacher just gave me some bandaids to put on it. When I remembered it like an hour ago, I put some triple antibiodic cream on the cuts on my knee and put a new bandaid on it. I know that scabs are the way the body heals itself, but dried blood makes the scab look funny, and I know if I had wiped it off and it hadn't tried on, I wouldn't have a really red ugly scab starting. I got the dried blood off of the small cuts by putting triple antibiodic cream on them with a bandaid and taking it off an hour later, but how can I get rid of the dry blood on the big cuts?

Get a soft, warm, wet cloth and clean the cuts gently. After you're done, put more antibiotic ointment on them, and replace the bandaids.

as ugly as it is, if you remove the scabs you make yourself more prone to infection. also picking the scabs will make it scar. you could soak it with sterile pads (or paper towels) but try to use saline. there are all kinds of bacteria in tap water. then reapply the triple antibiotic ointment and put a bandage on it again. the rule to avoid scarring is to let it heal on its own and apply the antibiotic cream even after it is healed up. as hard as it is not to pick the scabs, this is one time you shouldn't. let them fall off on their own.

you may want to try hydrogen peroxide it not only will kill the germs surrounding the wounds but will liqudate the dry blood so you can just wipe it off.

Leave it alone and let it heal naturally.
Better to have a scab for a little while than a scar for a lifetime.
