I think it depends on the person and depends on your understanding of Christianity.

If your understanding is that Christians should give up all worldly posessions and follow the way of the Word, and turn the other cheek - then right-wingers (as defined by corporate welfare and the death penalty) are probably going against Christ.

But if you take the stand that individuals should be protecting the lives of unborn children and protecting (at least) the old testament concept of marriage (as we think of abortion and gay marriage) - then right-wingers are balls on.

Depends on where you (and they) are coming from I would suppose.

Ideally, yes.

But unfortunately because of the weaknesses of human nature, the more power any given right-wing politician gains, it seems, the weaker his or her Christian-like morals become, and conversely, the less power or good fortune any given right-wing American citizen has, the stronger his or her Christian-like morals become.

Jesus said that to follow Him, one must give up all they have, and also that "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven".

The right-wing political scandals that ended the Republican majority in Congress last fall proved the truth of the above statements without a doubt.

Yes. This why they act like complete mongrels for Christian morals as shown by the churches, is all about hate, persecution and sodomy.

nope they pretend and sing songs and go to church once in a while, you know the drill but if they really believed theyd be doing more charity and turning the other chek rather than marching off to war, with the cross of Jesus...

All of us? Doubtful. Human nature is rife with scandal.

I'd still ask a rw to watch my house for me before I'd ask a complete stranger, though.

Not based on the Bible I've read! They judge others, and often; they prefer retribution to turning the other cheeks; they're greedy and, last time I checked, Jesus helped the poor, he didn't blame them.
