Actually i think the issue is more unqiue than what your commetners have mentioned above me...I will explain...

I think it is a cry for attention...to feel "unqiue" because she (your friend) may feel so ordinary inside that she yearns to feel special to someone out there, no matter how crazy it sounds. I doubt it is a religious belief in any way...it is all a mental state she is in. She wants to feel loved and this is how she deals with it. I recommend giving her a hug and telling her she is important to you.

Her using the idea of being an "alien" is an indication of her feeling separate from her friends (not understood) but her desire to help others seems to be an indication of her yearning to make the rest of us see her for who she really is (to see the light) and love her regardless...

Goodness gracious. Another one. I thought I caught them all before they got here and infested all those human bodies with the ascending spirit of Godly love thus confusing the other mortals. Hmm. Watch out! There are more on the way. If were not carefull all the human bodies will be taken over by overcontrolling spirits from above and there will be no room for the humans to occupy themselves.

If she really believes she isn't human, she needs professional help, and you can't give it to her.
If she is just attention seeking, she is very insecure and probably needs a lot of kindness, but you need to decide if you have the emotional reserve to help someone this needy. They can be very draining. Look very closely at the situation before you jump in and commit to helping this person, and put limits on how much energy you are willing to spend on her. It could prove exhaustive for you best of luck

She is a Christian. We believe we are spirits in an earthly body and when we die that spirit goes to heaven. While we are here on the earth we are supposed to be helping those in need.Jesus said it himself,"I am not of this world". So if she is a Born again Christian then she is living her life the right way.If she isn't,then maybe she means she is a half & half, half alien, half human.Someone you need to stay far away from,no kidding!!!

It sounds like a delusion, in which case she might qualify as paranoid schizophrenic. By listening to her delusion as a literary critic, you might be able to discern what she is communicating about herself. Jung went into a woman's delusion and found the key to bring her into accepting her place in the real world (Memories, Dreams, and Reflections). This woman is not human and yet wants to help humans...sounds like a projection of her own repressed/disowned sense of humanness...How far do you want to explore this woman's reality? It's up to you.

It might be her own personal belief, but as for a religion? It's no religion I've ever heard of, although I'm no expert on religion. My guess is she's delusional.

Perhaps she is delusional, or in some sort of denial; I don't know of any religion whose followers believe themselves to be anything but human.

I haven't heard of any religions that practice that. It is possible she is trying to live out a fantasy in her mind. Maybe sometimes she has a hard time keeping fact from fantasy.

there is only two things i can think of to answer this, either she is crazy or she is trying to joke with you. you should delve deeper into her psyche and ask her questions about who told her that and why she believes it. if she is just making a joke she will tire of it if you are persistant but if she is crazy, then introduce her to someone who can help.
