found the time to go into Mexico to find the drug smuggling illegal alien so our court system could give him immunity to testify against the two border patrol agents now serving prison sentences? Is this what they are supposed to be doing to keep us safe, or is something stinking to high heaven? http://www.washtimes.com/national/20070118-120632-4502r.htm

yep the administration messed this one up big time but I did read he is still considering pardoning the two agents. Funny its the right wing media that is making him change his mind on this one.

RYAK, although I agree with you much of the time they were convicted of shooting this man in the buttocks in February 2005 near Fabens. As the prosecutor said on an interview last night, all law enforcement knows you don't shoot a fleeing suspect. The man was unarmed. They were also convicted of tampering with evidence. They failed to report the shooting and Compean picked up his shell casings. I would like to see more of the evidence in this case and see some of the transcripts before jumping to conclusions. Ramos had a sterling record before all this happened. If I remember right, I think he was even some sort of trainer for the Border Patrol.
All the more reason to get all the facts straight and make sure of things. Just the fact that Homeland Security went and sought this man out should tell people that something was highly suspicious in the matter. I will support our agents to the last man, but I don't want a couple of loose cannons out there.

THIS is the hypocracy of the Bush Administration. THIS is how they're keeping our borders safe. THIS is how they repay the men and women who risk their lives to protect our borders!

I truly am beginning to think Bush and his cabinet are really Russian agents who refuse to believe the Cold War is over.

Just like everything else with this administration. Everything is crooked. I am just glad that Americans are starting to wake up to it.
