Doesn't make any difference how the calendar is printed, the work week starts on Monday; Saturday and Sunday are the weekend days.
With some business going 24 / 7, the weeks just blend together anymore.

If you haven't noticed, America enjoys being different. The English system instead of the metric system, soccer instead of football, states instead of provinces. Most countries start the week on Monday, which is more logical, I agree. I once heard that the week starts on Sunday because it is the sabbath day, and also the day most Christians go to church. Because of this, the week starts on Sunday because it is important to start the week with God. This is only a myth, though. In reality, even in America the week starts on Monday because that is when you stop resting and go back to your 9 to 5. It starts on Sunday only on the calendar, for most people.

I wasn't aware that it does. What makes you say that?
In the USA anyway, calendars read right to left from Sat thru Sun. Some businesses use a different calendar for their convenience for purposes of calculating the work week and payroll. I think that in America most people think that Monday is the first day of the week.

Because the week officially starts on Sunday on the Roman Calendar, the one western civilizations use, so it is not just America.
For example, in Portuguese, Monday is "segunda-feira", the second day of the week.

Technically I think Sunday is the first day of the week, so, it starts with Sunday. Even if it is part of the Weekend, I guess that is a misnormer.
