I am a Cubs fan and big Matt Murton fan. If the Cubs don't start him in left field, then they are crazy. He is going into his third year and has hit 3.07 and 2.97 if I remember correctly. If I had to make a wager, I would definitely bet on Matt Murton starting left field for the Cubs in 07.

ESPN says so, though with the team expected to trade Jacque Jones, sign Cliff Floyd and give Felix Pie a shot in center, all bets are off until spring training.

As of today Murton is the starting left fielder, Soriano is in center, and Jones is in right.

I don't see anyone challenging Murton in Spring Training.
