Evolution. It's instinct; creation is an inherent part of survival.

All things create. We live in a universe of cause and effect, and therefore we cannot do anything without creating something, nor can anything else. When we talk, for example, we create an myriad of things; vibration, air flow, communication, etc. When a flower sits there, it creates objective presence, color diffraction, oxygen, etc. Even a rock creates influence on other objects just with it's presence. We have simply persisted in this climate of change for so long that we have developed much more complex modes of creation. Thats my 2 cents anyway ^_^

Create or pro-create? Humans naturally create because we are rational animals. The animal part respond instinctively, while the rational uses logic (thinking).

The same reason all mammals, reptiles, birds, etc create. OR, are you referring to the creation that occasionally erupts from some human brains? Look for the question regarding curiosity as it relates to this one.

Humans destroy as much as they create. If they only destroyed, then there would be nothing left, therefore creating to replace what is lost or what can become.

We manipulate, we do NOT create. Try taking a whole bunch of nothing (or even just a little bit of nothing) and make something out of it, like a rock.

To answer your question, we manipulate and construct things because it pleases us, makes things easier, or it's a necessity.

it's part of our evolutionary heritage. the apes were, fortunately, very creative, and thus were enabled to maintain their survival. this is a paraphrase from the creative thoughts of jerry falwell and elmer gantry/billy graham ;-) bbwwahahaha

There may be evolutionary perspectives to that question. Creation is often a matter of survival.
