is that another example of how hypocritical the U.S society can be??
Like the whatever his name Springer show. How create a program where people is "forced" to insult each other and then beep the insults. If insults are banned then i think the logical thing to do is not creating programs were verbal violence is promoted?

kedar like it or not gay people talk about penis and sex...at least here in Spain and i dont think there is anything wrong with it...And i dont understand why many people use children as a shield, one thing is protecting them and another is censoring and prohibiting other people to express themselver for children´s sake.

Because gays and lesbians don't have to talk about that just for being gays are lesbians, don't you see you are degrading those groups of people, who are normal people, just with different sexual preferences? You're making everybody here believe that gays and lesbians are all a group of perverts, obsessed with penis and vaginas.
This category I believe should be mainly to talk about the problems you have to face everyday as a different person, discussions about why do some people still feel rejection for gays and lesbians, issues like that.
I guess you can talk about sexuality, but in a measured way, if you're going to ask a nonsense question or something disgusting about the penis, well, then you got it deleted. Besides, it's classified as adults' content, in the sense that it can be a strong content for children.

Wow.
How does a gay and lesbian category promote "verbal violence"?
What does Yahoo's community guidelines (which they have every RIGHT to have as THEY see fit) have to do with how hypocritical U.S. society is?
What does the Jerry Springer show have to do with any of this?
Why does having a gay and lesbian category imply you MUST allow questions containing a word that may offend people and go against YOUR community guidelines?
Today's education of youth is truly frightening.

Haven't you figured it out yet. Sex sells. But the FFC says they can not have certain works said on TV and the radio. Now I just finished watching on the PBS, i forgot which movie, but the movie was banned cuz they used the word, Damn. Nowadays, it is just another word. As out society goes down the hill, then violence, and yes, cussing will be common place.

Why does a topic about gays and lesbians have to include things about penises.... I mean straight couples use the penis too. Plus, I would really hate to think homosexual couples have nothing better to do that talk about penis.

I don't know. It gets on my nerves when i asked a question a long time ago and it got deleated for "chatting" but they allow bashers to act stupid and ask ALL kinds of dumb and hurtful questions. It dosen't make any sence.

Probably similar reasons why they allow people to bash gays yet send violation notices to gays who respond negatively to the bashing.

'Penis' is NOT a gay and lesbian related issue. It's adult content.
