Unfortantely they can. As a parent I think that's incrediably harsh and sorry you have to go through this. Have you tried talking to them about this? And, about how its your responsibility as man to take care of her and the baby. By their actions they are teaching you that avoiding responsibility for your actions is acceptable.
You are almost an adult and hopefully you don't have long to go before your 18. In the mean time...maybe you can meet at a friends house. Or, call her from a payphone or friends house. Do you see her at school?
I think your parents are upset by the situation. I think they feel that if you banish her they'll someone get rid of the 'problem'.
If it were me I'd talk to her parents and tell them your situation. Tell them you love her and want to be a part of her and the baby's lives. But, your parents are making it hard -- they are having a hard time dealing with the situation. They'll understand and probably help you out. And, they'll appreciate your honesty.
Good Luck!!
PS: Your age is a tricky stage legally. In some states you can free yourself of your parents. Even moving out legally w/o violating any laws. Talk to a lawyer if you have a ways to go before you turn 18.

under your circumstances you can petition the court for emancipation. The court can grant you legal adult status because you are expecting a child and want to be there to be a father. I would look into it. You have to think about whether you want to let your parents ruin your relationship with your child, or if you want to be a man and step up a be a father and a partner to your girlfriend. Have a mature talk with your parents and tell them what you think and what you are doing and if they dont agree then move out, even if you are not emancipated, the police will not force runaways over 16 to come home.

Try to handle it through the support system in the military before you go and hire a lawyer. The military has a great support system and they could probably find you someone to do the work for free or close to it. She is a minor so her parents are mostly within their rights. As far as signing away custody of the baby to the grandmother so that the baby can get insurance, I don't agree with that because most likely the baby could be insured through medicaid or better yet can probably get YOUR health insurance! Don't let the mother sign away the baby, she has that right. You could get it changed though. You being in the military are in a great spot because once married to can offer her what she needs... housing and insurance. Are you SURE you can't elope right now?

Depends on what state you are in... you could be sued for statutory rape if you are under 18 and so is she. Check out the age of consent laws before you pursue any other options.
I don't know much about the laws in the States. It seems really dumb that they aren't letting you speak to her and such... I mean the "damage" is done. You should have to speak with her, because even though she is the one who gets to choose whether to kill, keep, or adopt out the child, you are going to need to be involved, because it is your child.

Maybe show them how much of a man you are, step up to the plate, sit them down, talk to them about how this is making you feel and that you want to support your girlfriend and the baby.
Try not to get mad, ask for there support and understanding not a barrier that you will resent them for.
Are you sure its your parents and not hers, if it is hers then same thing, go and speak to them on your own. GOOD LUCK, thinking of you.

you need to sit down and talk with them..they are having a hard time dealing with reality..they should be proud of you for wanted to support your new family and they should be supportive....hopefully u soon will be 18? They will really regret it, if they keep your baby from you! Call some supportive hotlines and try to get advice..or contact a lawyer

Yes. If I were you I would file for emancipation. Their reaction is a little rediculous, being that you are almost 18 and going to be a father. I hope your girlfriend knows you want to see her, and I hope you are ready to be a parent at such a young age.

i guess your sad situation is a good example of why you shouldn't be doing things that risk creating babies when you still answer to a curfew.
Let that baby go - it needs to be adopted by grownups who can provide a stay-home mommy, which every baby is damaged without.

Yes. They can do that. I know it sucks but as long as you are a minor and living under their roof they have the right.
