...want the Dems to "play nice" now that the Dems have control?

Why didn't the Repubs "play nice" when they had control? I find it very funny that they are now crying that they aren't being included or consulted on issues the Dems are pushing thru.

Gee, could it be because it's the same way they treated the Dems for the past 6 yrs?

Like we've all heard over and over again for the past 6 yrs from the Repubs..."you lost, get over it"

well... now... I agree with what you said...

but, to be frank with you... it's that attitude of "I'm going to do what I want and I don't care what anyone thinks" that helped them lose the election in Nov.

I would like to see the dems be the bigger person here and try to work with the Republicans...

granted... they may not be able to on everything... and some things may need to be forced through...

but any attempt at working together is better than the total and blatant "we don't care what you think" attitudes that were in the Republican congress...

I think that if the dems can make attempts... people will see that and respect it...and remember in the voting booths in 08...

we're all Americans here and it's time we started acting like it... we shouldn't sink to the level of those in the past...

While you damn fools are doing your victory dance and yet to sober up over the political reality of the power you don't really have, the additional troops are already on their way to the Persian Gulf. Of coarse the Persian Gulf itself is getting a little crowded with the build up of an additional US fleet.

We don't often merge two US fleets into one corner of the globe unless something really big is about to happen. Gee, do you think we can pull Pelosi away from her plastic surgeon or dress designer long enough to find out, what's the skinny?

So while you are trying to rub sh it in our faces over your so called victory, you might want to say a few democratic prayers over the fact that you have won nothing! So, is this the control the republicans lost and consultation of issues the democrats are pushing through? Huh? Huh? or is this what happens when you devote the first 100 hours to more important issues, like seeing that the illegal Mexicans are paid more?

Lets see how nice he plays now...the Dems have pushed a bunch of new policies through but I bet that he will use his veto power on things like stem cell research, increase in the minimum wage, decrease on tax breaks for corps....only time will tell on how "little" of a man our president is.

I agree that the playing nice comments by Republicans is stupid. Democrats are in charge and they do not have to include Republicans. I hope Democrats in the House pass a lot of their agenda. The American people will see how inept they are.

Actually the administration was pretty good at snubbing everybody in congress. Republicans and Democrats alike. Georgie boy is just getting used to the fact that ain't going to cut it anymore.

That's because they think their interests are "special" and no one else's count. That's why they're so controlling. That's why they're no good in bed unless you're a submissive ALL THE TIME. I could go on and on but I'll leave it at...if you watch a 2-5 year old child you will see a lot of the same behaviors that you see in the Rightards.

Oh yeah, the Dems have total control..... yeah a tied Senate and 53% of the House really gives Dems a sense of control, doesn't it?

I would rather see both sides work together and have everyone quit acting like a bunch of children.
