If you have the gift, you'll know it. Start small and try working with friends/family at first, and test yourself. If it works out great, then you have some word of mouth advertising and references. Of course, it's very hard to prove you're gifted and will be tough to make it as a paid psychic.

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

I don't think you have to have a gift as much as a love of entertainment and mystery. If Miss Cleo did it then so can you! But you should work for a company or something...you don't want people coming to your door pissed off because you told them wrong.

I've heard of psychic school. It's supposed to help people better focus their abilities if they have the gift. Of course, you can't LEARN to be a psychic. Hehe.
