To me personally I don't see why anyone would question about going to a "normal" high school over an all girls or all boys school.
Besides learning the basics of math, english, science, music, art, and other subjects kids and youth learn socialization and how to interact and communicate with all types of people. Putting someone in a school that does not promote individuality and diversity to me is robbing someone of a much needed teachings.

I would maybe see if she could spend a day at each school and see which one she feels is the best fit. The hour and a half bus ride is great for doing homework. As far as interacting with males and females I am sure she has some male friends and this will not be an issue. I would look more at the all girl just because it sounds like the future education is better and you want here to go as far as she can in life.........

I think your daughter should go to the public school. Having to be on the road for an hour and a half to get there is not worth it. I take it that would mean a 3 hour round trip. That's 1/8 of a day, which really stinks.

I've got plenty of clever things I did when I was younger, but for being resourceful...it comes down to living every day w/what you've got. Sometimes that's not a lot & I can stretch a dollar til it screams bloody murder! By the way I shop w/coupons, sales & store selection I save 75% of what everyone else pays. I layer up in the winter so I don't have to pay high heating bills & I take it off in the summer to avoid a/c bills. I buy gifts throughout the year instead of right at the holidays. I also take advantage of holiday sales. I fix things instead of throwing something out & buying a new one. I trade services w/friends for things I want/need. Frugality was once admired...I think we are entering those days again.

i went to an all girls high school and hated it... ppl were pmsing all the time and it got so stressful i had to drop out... i think that if she went to a normal high school. it would gear her towards the real world, where there are both sexes, and this is a prep for college or university where there are both sexes. An all girls school is a good idea but you get really fed up being around girls all the time.. at least in my situation.

Know that going to a public school allows her to interact with other people and plus it gets her used to being around the opposite sex when she does enter the real world. Plus I find that long bus rides are generally not fun. As for graduating onto a university anybody can its just how hard their willing to try to get to it.

I definetely suggest the normal high school. Your daughter is going to have to interact with boys sometime in her life anyways. Also, if she goes to the all-girls school, she's not going to work well with boys, which will give her a harder time in college/university.

As a high schooler myself, i'd want to go to a regular publuc, boys & girls school. I'm not into parting or anything like that so i can stand my own ground. you want to be strong and not give into peer pressure at all! Besides, if you go to an all girls school, there are no guys! lol. and Men are going to be around for all of you life anyways so why not hang with them now, and have them as good friends?

I think the coed school would be best. That way her social life will grow stronger from being around both sexes. She will learn better life skills, and about life in general. She will learn that most guys are pigs, which ones she can trust, and which ones she can't.

normal school. although high school is about the education, it is also about the experience. going ot a normal school is alot more fun and would give your daughter better social skills. she could take advanced classes and have fun and learn. with less stress.
