a diary and hournal are pretty much the same thing. i think diaries have locks becuz they r a bit more private though. in your journal u can just put wat u did that day, anything exiting, wat u want, etc. u can put anything that comes to ur mind, its your own personal thoughts.

I'll answer this form the literary point of view. A diary is a place where you put you secrets, like a best friends that can't tell- it is very private!!! It's for troubles and emotions and all that jazz. A journal is more like logging your life- something to read so someone will know about you. It's less private.
I know a lot of people who blend the two. And if you want a place ot hide it? Take a hint from Desperate housewives- hide it in a gutted out Video Tape- don't press play though!!!!!

A journal and a diary are both the same. The exact meaning of what you write in them is up to you but there is no difference other than personal choice of words. Some people like to write all their experiences in it (as if it were a friend) and some just like to drop in random thoughts as they come...the list is endless.

Diary and journal are the same. It is where you put your day to day experiences.
I guess a bit of difference is you can put anything on your journal, such as your thoughts, ideas, plan for the future etc...Diary is more of what happened to you during the day. I think...

A journal and diary are the same except for one thing; diaries have locks.
At least, that's my understanding.
