No, Marxism has been tried many times in many different countries, and it is always doomed to failure. It does not take into account the natural human desire to better ones self, and live their lives free of state interference. It treats the people as a herd, like naughty schoolkids that need to be kept in line with masses of beuraucracy, and daily interference in peoples lives. Britain today is a Neo-Marxist country, under the guise of a Social Democracy the people that run it still believe in the Marxist ideals that they were brainwashed with in the 60's and 70's...for other people. They wont apply these ideals to themselves. Marxism always needs a dictator to cling onto power, who will change the laws to suit there own needs. This is happening right now in the UK, and people cant see it, because they are following the empty lives of brain-dead "celebrities". When they wake up, it will be too late, and there will be nothing they can do about it.

Quick and simple with no bias...
Marxism was develped as the ideal government for Britian (Not Russia, not America or any other part of the world in mind) during the industrial revolution when the majority of people were not educated and were lower class.
but I think it is still relevant today but not a good system to be used in modern western countries

Marxism is essentially socialistic, not democratic. And, Marxism as such isn't all that relevant today, but many of Marx's theories and philosophies are still supported. There's a lot to say. You should probably just do some research on Marxism and form your own opinion.

It hasn't ever been tried, I don't think it would be impossible.
As to relevance, I think Marx's analysis is more strikingly true than ever, even if his conclusions and his outlook are overly idealistic and optimistic. I think we'll end up with Orwellian dictatorships all over the planet, the groundwork is already being laid in the US and elsewhere just now.

Quite irrelevant. China is an example.
Capitalism now rules, and it's run-away and out of control.
It's possible, but not predictable, that capitalism will eventually self destruct itself, like communism did in Russia.

It never was. Look up ' communism ' and
' democracy ' in a ' dictionary.'
