Is it possible to get married at the age of thirteen? I'm just curious. I mean, I know you can't get married under the age of eighteen without parental consent. But if you are thirteen, and have parental consent, are you allowed to get married?

No, I took two courses at school for Law, and it clearly states that you must be 16 and the male must be 18 even with consent, and in many cases when it doesn't work out, they try for annulment which is when you file a case stating you were never married in the first place, and 9 times out of 10 it works, meaning you were never actually married, I'm just saying that if you really think you want to get married, or whoever it maybe, remember that you must know that you wanna be commited to this person and that once you do it, and divorce or annulment, it could have possible outcomes that you may not like. I just hope that you, or whoever makes a good decision to think before you get even consider marriage, even if you've known the person for 5 years [example] it still doesn't make it ok to get married to that person unless you know then in and out, and are completely in love with them. Everyone has their own darkside, and in most cases, it comes out after marriage. Another thing I was going to say, was that when you asked this question, did you consider the word marriage it clearly has AGE in it, just something I thought you might want to think about.

I did not find a single state that said you could marry as young as 13. Quite a few of them set the age at 16 WITH parental consent and 18 without it. There were a few states that said a young woman under the age of consent ( I assume this means under the age of 16) could get married if she was pregnant and had a letter from a doctor saying that she was pregnant and when she was due etc.
I did not find a single state that mentioned legality of marriage at the age of 13 but I would imagine that if the child was pregnant and if the parents of the child were in agreement, it might be legal.
There are quite a few web sites that deal with this subject and if one wanted to take the time to read about each individual state it would be possible to find out.
My advice would be to merely look up the specific state you are interested in.
I hope this helps.
Blessings
Lady T~ p.s. Just found this: In New Hampshire A female between the age of 13 and 17 years and a male between the age of 14 and 17 years can be married only with the permission of their parent (guardian) and a waiver (See Waiver).

You just answered your own question. You said "you can't get married under the age of eighteen without parental consent".

Therefore you can at 13 get married with parental consent.

i guess it's possible but i don't understand why you or your parents think it's okay to get married at 13. i think eighteen years old is young as well. you still have your life ahead of you. you can't even have fun without being locked down with some boy. i hope you don't won't to get married at that age. you should be no where near thinking about that. i hope you're just asking. you got like a good 13 more years. you may think you're in love but it's just a crush. so take it slow young one, you have nothing but time.

In some countries, yes. In the US I'm not sure. You would have to check the laws in your state. The question is. . . why would you want to? You aren't even through teen age and all the social and school events and get togethers, etc. No reason to even if you are madly in love. You will change more in your life in the next 10 years than you have changed before. Your emotional, maturity level, psychological ideas and ego will change radically. Wait as long as you can to get married. You will be glad you did.

I believe, in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Pakistan.

Oh, and if you're pregnant, have consent from your parents, your boyfriend's parents, and your boyfriend himself, and a waiver from the local government, you can get married at 14 in parts of Canada.
