Adam - thanks for answering and not answering. It is in this category because LGBT people can have an opinion on this matter!

I would never swallow an expensive wedding ring for my gay lover because marriage is a sexist, hetero-normative, neo-conservative construct that is drawn up as a social contract to keep money, wealth and property in families and has nothing to do with love.

Love is a neuro-chemical phenomenon regulated by the hypothalamus and is its' only purpose is to make you stay long enough with the one partner so you'll produce children. The nesting instinct is pre-empted' by 'love'.

Marriage is convenient for the raising of infant children under the age of 12 years.

As a gay man, I'm not likely to be a father, so I don't think I will get married. Ever.

This could have potentially fatal consequences if the rings emergence from the Bowells coincides with the entry of a Condom clad penile protrusion into the anal passage leading to the Condom being torn and HIV virus transferred between the two partying Parties.

If the person I love and plan to marry can not accept my income level and demands "more and better" I know I'd think twice and then twice more about whether this was the right person for me. There's so many more important things than a piece of metal that signifies a bond.

(I am currently married and purchased our rings for our first anniversary - and I would never remarry. EVER!)

Contrary to popular belief LGBT persons visit other areas of YA when those topics interest us.

The LGBT area is for LGBT related topics, it is not some taboo place where they send all the LGBT persons.
