I think your spot on! The world has changed and manners seem to have disappeared with the changing times. In my day, you respected authority and never answerd anyone back. Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Policemen were all revered in society and you could get arrested for the slightest misdemeanour because of the level of respect that society held for people in authority. I would never have dreamt about stepping out of line when I was young and if I did there would have been severe consequences. I was taught to respect the elderly, open the door for others, show humility where applicable, be dignified in appropriate places and above all just being polite, dressing in a smart manner and being a good person. Now all I see is yobs in puffer jackets, pierced ears, tattoo's everywhere thinking their the bees knees in their clapped out fiesta revving their engines, terrorizing communities (especially the elderly), disrespecting every Tom, Dick and Harry. They steal things, attack people, vandalize peoples property and are unemployed, on benefits and living off other people (particularly the state and particularly when there are babys involved). It makes me so angry!!!!

Parents are both working to make ends meet & each generation is a little worse off than the last. If no one has time to teach their own kids, who will. I get so annoyed when no one says excuse me in a store. You almost never hear please or thank you anymore. Part of the problem is people think they are better than everyone else.

Oh it is still out there but certainly not like it use to be. People are not taught any more, most grow up without much guidance. I think when you become more enlightened as to what life is all about and live in a state of love then people tend to become so much more in all aspects.

It is like common sense...neither one of them is very common.

Our world has gotten to fast and impersonal. People are cold and don't care. People are having a difficult time relating to each other and they don't trust.
