there was prog on tv last year about 1oo greatest movie stars, al pacino was no.1, robert de niro, j nicholson, all the obvious golden oldies were in the top ten. tell me could al play roles as diverse as those played by johnny depp? nah. i like al and rob but neither of them could pull of edward scissorhands, benny and joon, willy wonka, jack sparrow, don juan de marco? depp has played alongside pacino in donnie brasco, with marlon brando in don juan, but he is by far the greatest. i dare you to challenge me, who else could play these roles, this man could play any part. and hes beautiful!

I have several favorite actresses like Julia Roberts and Julie Andrews, but my favorite actor would have to be Johnny Depp. He truly is a great actor and it definitely shows through his very versatile roles he has had in the past. Like "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?", "Chocolate", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", and both "Pirates of the Caribbean" are just a few movies that his roles were very different from each other. He truly is a great actor.

I think Johnny Depp can really act. He goes beyond acting, he actually becomes the character. And he never plays the same character in movies, hes always different. For example in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the movie Blow he actually became the main character in the movie, who are actually REAL people and if you watch him and then watch a video of the actual person he was portraying...its just amazing how he became that person! You dont see that with any other actors...it seems like they are the same person in every movie.

This is a tough question! I have a few but I'll pick one-Vincent D'onofrio. He's a wonderful character actor and I can tell he really puts alot of himself into his roles. He's always amusing or even frightening. He really can act with just a flick of the eyebrows. Check out his film-'The Whole Wide World' playing the troubled author of 'Conan the Barbarian' Bob Howard. Major talent and ability to grasp Bob's quirky mental disorientation.

Djimon Hounsou is my favorite actor. If he is in a movie, I make a point to go see it. Movies like Amistad, The Island, Blood Diamond and more.
As far as actress, I have to go with Judi Dench. I've loved her as the new M in the James Bond movies and many more.
