It may be caused by fluctuations in the light filtering through the trees or other obstacles. When reading at home, you have a constant light source with no variation in intensity. It is doubtful that it'd be harmful. Just annoying.

It more about lighting... Inproper lighting is what causes most eye strain from trying to read.. Reading while in a vehicle shouldnt change anything..

no. i believe it's seperate cause, you get dizzy and car sick because the car is moving. it's the motion of the vehicle.

i don't think it is bad for our eyes. but it can definitely make you want to puke. also puts a strain on your eyes, to keep following the book that is shaking so much.
