My neighbor and I went in on the 2-for-1 offer and we both LOVE it! I have 3 Golden Retreivers and 3 long-haired cats so I know all about the pet hair. I used to have to run the vacuum every day but not anymore. This sweeper is so easy to use and I keep it handy since it doesn't take up very much room. (Honestly, those people should pay me for all the good referrals I've given for them, lol.)

you have pets, and if you have children all the more reason not to use a swifter and their cleaning products, the residue left on the floor is highly poisunus to animals and people. dogs cats walk on it lay on the floor then clean themselvs as far as the hair problem so far the best thng i have found is a vileda broom its red and has a piece of foam on the backside of the normal bristles. when i sweep i sweep with the foam side down, when the foam gets a little wet it seems to catch the hair better, probably because the dirt adheres to the foam which holds the hair there.
try it what do you have to lose we have 1 longish haired dog and 2 cats in a small house, they come and go as they want i sweep lots, i know where your coming from.
help the dog out and brush them regularly i know that it is a pain in the butt to brush the dog everyday, but it sure helps.

Have you tried a Swiffer Sweeper Wet Jet? They aren't too bad! ((There is a new informercial about a new broom-like thing that is suppose to be good, but sorry, I can't remember the name of that.)) You might just try a better broom too~I have better luck with an angled broom with the soft bristles than anything, and sweep slow;)
Good Luck:)

Sweepa- it's a rubber broom. It uses Electrostatic action to lift dust, hair & lint. We have one at the grooming shop where I work. We have all ceramic tile. Everyone races to get to use this broom.

Vacuum first, then go over it with the regular (not wet) Swiffer. Perfect!

Get the swifter, or just mop it up.
