i am just thinking. why are americans and their media make big deal about everything they dont like? example- the blackout in new york in summer of 2006. How everyone got upset at conedison. damn it just deal with the black out and stop friggin sueing them. Americans are also criticizing the war in Iraq like hell, they just dont stop. Learn about Vietnam war and compare it to iraq war, you will see the situation Bush is in and you will see why he waged the war (dumb public, they dont see the politic side of the war), these are jst few examples. Everything that happens that they dont like, they blame on others and start getting on everyone elses nerves. Get with it, life is not perfect and stop overdramatizing every friggin thing. Who agrees? (if you dont' you are one of them)

by the way, i am an american and i am not saying the public is bad and in some instances, taking crap is not an options, sometimes you have to act. Example, when 9/11 happened who was not mad and who did not want a war? (alot of people did and when the president decided to declare war, people were happy, now they have turned ther back on the country- fickle people) this has been on my mind and i just posted to see what others think.

DESHI- i witnesses the whole damn thing and was tired of hearing about the damn thing everyday in the news. I have lived at times without any electricitry for many weeks, without AC in hot as heck weather and without good facilities before i came here, i was a child then and i was able to take it without issues so why should not they take this mere 2 weeks.

Kadija S.- I agree with you, people said they want war and now they dont. If they stop criticizing the war, i bet we would win it in a month.
Mass Brain- the media is telling the truth of course but it is also bending the truth in ways that makes things seem extreme. They are feeding the people's anger of the us government with nonsense most of the time by questioning the persidents strategy, if you got a better one, go tell him.

Can you say "wag the dog" remember that movie? I think that the media is totally biased, and is sold to the highest bidder, they are so full of it. And yes, I was and still am very upset about 9/11, I really don't know what could ever make that better, or atone for it.
Here is a real hoot, we are having an "arctic blast" here, so that is the hot news, they showed the reporter's own feet demonstrating how slippery the road was, it was so stupid.

With the Blackout- were you there. All these people were living for 2 weeks without power. That should not be acceptable especially in New York City, and during a heatwave.
That isn't cool (no pun intended). The public was right to be heated at con ed (pun intended).
Second- this is all about the ratings. If the media didn't make the stories interesting to the majority public, then nobody would watch, and they would advertising revenue.

We were not at conflict with the Middle East while nine/eleven occurred, it used to be a unexpected guy precipitated assault that killed enormous quantities in an hour. The earthquake used to be anything that now not handiest has occurred to Japan in it is beyond, however wasn't an act of conflict. We went to conflict considering that of the consequences of the nine/eleven assaults. How frequently is it that a institution kills enormous quantities and destroys/damages most important structures in an hour? Rarely. How frequently is it that there is an earthquake that kills enormous quantities and destroys/damages most important structures? Pretty a lot each yr or 2. It's considering that it transformed historical past for the more severe and affected greater than only one country.

I don't think the media is being too dramatic. This war sucks. I think the media is being honest, unlike the Bush administration, about how poorly the war is being run. If the media can't ask questionsand report what they want, then we might as well live in a Communist country.

because... they are hard to please, and drama is what makes life interesting for these Americans... I agree with you... we or better yet, they should stop being overly dramatic!!! criticizing the war will not stop the war. first, people say they want to fight, now they don't... we are defending our country, and our freedom, and whomever don't like it can leave America.... freedom comes with a price...

To obtain attention and gain repeat observers. Human beings generally frolick in attention. Then it moves their focus off themselves and they worry less about their own thoughts, feelings, and actions.
