Celebrity worship and trashy gossip. Plus the obsession with cheap reality media shows that sensationalise the shallow lives of total strangers.

That's the drug that keeps the masses uninformed and politically ignorant.

Sex. I can see why TV could be seen as the opiate of the masses, but think of what TV uses to sell everything, from products to their own shows. And the internet is the biggest porn database ever in life.

Plus it feels so nice....

Definitely tv. Depending on your age group regards your culture and they know how to control you with it. The mtv population are shown how to dress, how to act, and the kind of lifestyle to live. You are very correct.
