I think as human beings, we all go though good and bad situations in our lives, and we have the power to help when we see that someone needs it, and we all need someone to help us sometimes. But when I see that someone has hands and feet like me, and they are living on the streets and they are young, I think we are making a mistake by giving them cash because it doesn't solve their situation and it keeps them going back in the same circle of asking and getting. A lot of people out there on the streets they are healthy enough to try to get a job, specially if we are talking about homeless people that live and are from a economically strong country, when they have a lot of opportunities that they don't even try to look for them. When it is a third world country, the situation is more complicated and you can't blame a lot of the poor people, because a lot of them they try and don't succeed, and the sink because of how the system in countries like that. I would say, if we are going to give money to poor people, we should do it the right way to help them get out of their situation.

I think whoever answers this question will say they have, even when they haven't, so they don't come off as stingy in the eyes of others.
I do not give money to the poor, but I donate (occasionally) to the CF Foundation. The poor always have ways of earning money, terminal conditions are more important in my eyes.

I'm twelve and I'm donating clothes, toys, little purses, money, books, teddy's.I do this because I know I'm making a difference not only in other people's life but mine too.I know it doesn't seem like a lot but I try.I act like I need more and more but then I realize I'm one lucky kid and at the end of the day I feel good about myself.I should be proud of what I got,and I am.I hope you try to make a difference in other adults and children's life.Have a great day.

yea, I really like to help people. In my school, there are 2 schools of the same, half from nursery to 5th grade, and then the other 6th to bach 3. And in the first school, we used to help people called the tarauhmaras, and now, we help people that cant be in school, because are poor. So we do do it.

I give good tips to those people who work hard. I will donate my time to helping, but I have learned giving someone money rarely motivates anyone to work for it.

St Judes, Shriners, and firefighters are the only people I trust with my donations. I know when you give them money it is spent correctly

No and never. I would volunteer my time to help them better their lives: manage money better, learn skills to get a better job, etc.
I do not believe in welfare.
