Only if he isn't married...

Independents have chosen a difficult life of ostracization, due to the lack of independant people in the world.

Men have been looked at as independant since the beginning of time. In the last 300 years, women have started to be recognized as people and not property.

So, I think if you stand any woman beside any man, they will have equal capacity to be independant.

However if you compare ALL the independant women beside all the independant men, there will be an obvious advantage.

Not at all, i don't think so.. and i'll tell you why...
Men are complete dependant on their mom, on their maid, on the fast food or the dinner, on the wife when they are married, on the secretary if they have one.
Once they get used to have somekind of help, and they feel comfortable with it, they become completely dependant.
On the other hand, women are more capable of changes, they get used to be alone, not to have the help of their mother since they are younger, they usually don't really need the husband, the house can be managed without him - even if the wife works! -.
So, i guess, women in general are more independant than men.
I don't believe in generalization, but i tend to overvalorate some of the women virtues in order to get some recognition.
The trueth is that there exists other situation where men are more independant, like for living away from the family, or taking care of some problems.

In simple terms ...NO. Women and men are equally independent, it is a self choice to decide if one is going to strive to be an independent person, or take life and make nothing much of it or oneself and be dependent on others. So never believe that type of fallacy.

In my option and experience the answer is yes in part because society expects different actions from them. It takes a very secure man to appreciate an independent woman

I'm not sure in what vein you are asking and I'm sure my answer will not receive "best answer" status but primarily

Men:
Do the fighting in wars and "police actions";
grow or hunt food (or create the wealth to purchase it);
can do housework as well as work on the car;
are more likely to strike out on their own and move to another state, city or country and;
are more likely to support a spouse and children.

Women:
Are far more likely to receive welfare;
Need "a village" for emotional support;
are more likely to invite the court into their family disagreements;
require legalized discrimination to get jobs and then use 'sexual harassment' to create their version of a friendly work space;
are not held responsible for the results of their decision to engage in sex;
are less likely to pay child support when ordered but are more likely to demand it;
are more likely to demand alimony;
less likely to support a spouse and children.

I actually think so. Mainly because we just tend to hang out in large groups and do everything in a group, where as the guys i know are ok with just doing something on their own too

Yes because since we've been on this earth men have been providers and couldn't lean on women to go out and do stuff for them.

How can you generalize such a broad subject. Some are and some are not. It certainly depends on the individual. Think about it yourself.

Yes and here is the proof. Men go to the bathroom by themselves. Women go in pairs or groups.

in some ways, they don't need group/friend assistance, don't need to talk as much, don't ask for advice often.

but it tend to be boys more than girls who don't move out of their parents house and when they do go back for assistance (financial or otherwise) more often- if not just mvoe back in later.
