What?...oh I see, we can’t have PEOPLE, just the STUFF that comes from their poverty and exploitation. Dragging them out of their homes often in chains to work in these places, little kids going blind working to death? Making homeless the people of places like the Rainforest of Brazil.
Wait, I thought other countries are our problem? What’s Iraq? I thought the immigration issue was over jobs?
Or is it protecting our resources…. you don’t think we use the rainforest? I like breathing how bout you? Jobs? Once again…..

I think the sum up is;
If you are into closing our borders for something other than racism, for logical reasons, I can't see why those same reasons don't apply to things.
Our borders are illusionary we still live on earth, those are still people.

Sorry this is hard to explain,
I am not saying I am for border closing, I am saying, the issue of taking the traditional livelihoods of people and replacing them with western style jobs that western people now no longer have...we go in take the resources for those people long term survival, they end up poor, they try to survive. If world politics out of your control made you in danger of survival, and immergrating gave you a better chance at a life, you would not do it?........the whole thing seems a hypocritical quagmire.

You are assuming that the people who are hurt by illegal immigration are benefitted by those other policies and other than a tiny drop in consumer prices for excess we don't need, we really aren't. Mass immigration, particularly illegal immigration is draining our services we need for our own people and ruining our schools we need to give our children their future.

I'm all for stopping globalism and having fair trade, not free trade. That would be good for the kids overseas, as well.

The cause for "Chicanos por lacasa" is to "retake" back what they once thought was theirs-California, Arizona, and New Mexico, from the time of the conquistadors.
It isn't at all bout "jobs", it's all about a subversive take over through subversion. Putting in Latino/Mexican legislators, making more babies than the national average- thereby burdening our social welfare system and excluding any locals who would also need those services. Ever notice how many pregnant teens are of latino/mexican descent? Ever notice how even some of the older ones are having babies above the national average?We already have 12 million >illegals< here, and how many of them bring unwanted diseases and virusus across the border thereby stressing our already stressd-out medical community, ever notice how long it takes to see a doctor? and how many of them are criminals in gangs. Ever notice the amount of crime going up in relation to mexican gangs?
Had an >illegal< hit my wifes car the other day--no license, registration, insurance, or ID. Officer said he knew he was illegal but he couldn't do anything except impound their vehicle, because that was INS's problem. Guess what-->we< paid for it. A fender bender of $500 but we still paid for it, would you like to pay for this?,( guess what your insurance rates did). Ever notice how insurance rates are going up in relation to this?
I could go on a diatribe. Still think it's about jobs, or a "better life"? They need to address their issues with the mexican government and stop making our lives here difficult. Cross the border >illegally< into mexico and see what you get--at least 2 yrs. in jail a nice juicy fine and >maybe< a phone call home.
So what part of >illegal< isn't understood? Close the border? Only for those who don't want to come here the proper way. Don't forget-- the 9-11 hijackers came here >illegally<, registered with civilian flight schools, and to see what their targets were. They know how porous our southern border is, perhaps the next will come from there? Close the borders? By all means!

Dude - chill out. I favor closing our borders over invading other countries. Incidentally Alaska is largely rainforest. And I would think closing our borders would mean to foreign people and foreign products - though likely not foreign currency, as I am sure that we always want to sell our wares to the rest of the world.

You are all over the map with your question. You object to foreign manufacturers taking advantage of workers, but you don't want those workers to be out of work. What is your solution?

you need to realize that immigrants also are bringing disease with them to the u.s. did you know a immigrant child is 100 times more likely to spread a disease then a person born in the u.s. , did you know there has been 30 times more cases of bed bugs in the u.s. since 2006 . did you know 1.2 million of the current illegals in the u.s. is a convicted murder , 500,000 convicted child molesters , 3 million convicted drug dealers . if you still can say you still want immigrants here after researching all of this info and understanding it is fact , then you my friend is nuts .

Iraq was a problem because Saddam had and was trying to build more nuclear weapons. Had we allowed him to get long range missiles, he would have used them on us.
