STOMP!!!

2007-01-19 10:20:04 · answer #1 · answered by STK FLKR 2 · 1 1

That happened to me a few months ago... Only I didn't see it first, I felt it first! Tickling my foot!

I leaped in the air and everything went flying everywhere. And the mouse ran away.

And then, a couple of hours later, it happened again. I don't know if it was the same mouse.

I complained to my landlord and bought a new mouse trap.

been there.
a baby mouse actually walked right up to me as I sat here on the computer. I sat very still for a second to see if it would run away but it didn't. it was less then 2 inches from my sneaker I was wearing. I was going to pick my foot up and stomp it to death. but it looked so cute & innocent. so I took a empty can of peanuts I just finnished off and caught the baby mouse with it. then I threw it into a gerbal cadge that I had for about a year but never got gerbils for it. I kept it for a pet for a short time (about a month) the decided to let it go in a field far far away because I thought it would be happier there. and I just couldn't bring myself to kill it. just as long as it wasnt back in my house.

I'd exit the room, shut the door, get one of my humane live traps, and place it in the room. Why? Because I want to be kind to animals, but don't want wild ones in my house. I've had great success with this live trap in my house:

It’s also available for $2 cheaper here (although I prefer to buy it from the other place since I’m not a big fan of PETA):

I've caught over ten mice with it so far and it can be used over and over indefinitely. Or, you can try making the free homemade humane trap described here:

http://www.helpinganimals.com/wildlife_livingWithMice.asp

If you do live trap mice, please be sure to check the traps several times a day and release the mice promptly, approximately a mile away from your home. It is much more cruel to allow a mouse in a live trap to slowly starve to death than to kill it quickly with a snap trap. When you release the mice, do it in an area with some sheltering bushes or plants.

The absolute cruelest traps are glue traps. Mice have been known to gnaw off their own limbs and tear off their skin in an effort to escape, as they starve or dehydrate to death or suffocate in the glue. It can take three to five days for them to die. Poison isn't any better, as the mice die slowly and painfully from internal bleeding. It can take up to a week for them to die, and then they smell as they rot behind your walls.

It doesn't take much extra effort to be kind. :)

I would set a trap or two. An old fashioned trap seems to be the best way to catch mice. I've tried all the new fangled traps and they seem great when you first get them. Then later you find out that they are not sturdy and about fall apart. OR GET A BIG P. CAT.

Anyone up for a BBQ with a cat fight as the main fight. I heard it tires the mouse so it will be easier to fry.

I would jump a bit then look quick for something to place it in so I could put it outside, as long as the weather is not freezing. Then I would wash my hands and throw out the container.

Stomp that B****, but I'm glad I don't have those problems. No one wants a mouse around them, unless they are a animal activist or crazy.

I would scream like a panther and run. I hate a mouse in the house.

Probably think it was one of my daughters hamsters, she loses them regularly....... IF, upon further inspection I saw a long tail, I would freak out and jump on the chair. I don't want to be bitten by an unsocialized disease laden rodent.

I'd jump up onto a chair or table while screaming. I HATE mice, rats and oppossums! They terrify me!
Then I'd set a trap and hope the little bugger got snapped in it!
