i think that i made a mistake telling my friend i had a crush on her friend, then she told me that i wasn't his type and i should totally stay away, is she a real friend or is it true?

it isn't that she's NOT a real friend or anything. she simply just doesn't want you with him. it could be for any reason. if you think there is nothing wrong with the boy you like, its probably the fact that she might like him or something. but if he has some issues, then she probably wants you to avoid liking him because she doesn't want to see you get hurt or fall for the wrong guy. but i think its that your friend likes him, which is why she wants you to keep away from him. because there is no such thing as "he's not your type." anything could work out. like everyone says, opposites attract.

Well, i think that your friend is truly not your type and that you should stay away from your friend for further purposes or reasons.

omg this exact same thing is happening to me!! but i play a different role than you do. i like my friends friend, but i think my friend likes me, so he doesnt want his friend to ask me out. if your friend is trying to get you to change your mind about him it could be one of three things. 1. she likes him too. 2. she really thinks you two are wrong for each other or she knows something about him that you dont or 3. shes just a bad friend. if she didnt like him, whats the big deal with encouraging your friend to go out with him... especially if she likes him enough to be friends with him?

i think she likes him diffently but it doesnt sound to me that she is a very good friend she would just tell u thqat she liked him to if she was a good friend and not try to ruin it for u which she is trying to do i say u go for the guy u like

That is a tough one, but maybe she is truly trying to be sincere and make sure you don't get hurt. I would maybe try and get to know him better (as friends first) and find out for yourself, just to make sure he is not your type.

find out what type of gurrl this guy likes and if itz you..then go for it...maybe your friend doesnt want both of her friends going out..thats how my "friends" are.

it isn't his decition whether yuo like him or not.
and you can't not like him.
you can't just all of a sudden stop liking him it is really hard for me.
