What does f@ggot mean to you? The real meaning of the word is:
1. a bundle of sticks, twigs, or branches bound together and used as fuel, a fascine, a torch, etc.
2. a bundle; bunch.
3. a bundle of pieces of iron or steel to be welded, hammered, or rolled together at high temperature

When most people hear the word they think gay man.

If T.R. Knight already said he was gay, why was he offended when Washington called him a f@ggot if f@ggot means gay?

I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to know.

The first time I heard the word, I was watching a British show. To them it is a cigarette.

Yes, it is a term for a gay man, but if you were African American, would it offend you if someone called you a ni**er? It is a slur and it is offensive.

I'm not trying to be rude either, but the term "******" also has a very sad dark beginning. During the time of the plague in Europe, men would gather the dead bodies to be disposed of. The thin, stick-like bodies of dead boys "*******" were sometimes sold to men who used them for sex (necrophilia).
