Yes, she is. She was rude and behaved in a totally unacceptable behaviour toward Shilpa. She victimized her, not just over her race but many of the comments she made were racist. I'm glad she was evicted, she is not just a bully but a very racist one. She should be ashamed of herself, no one has any right to disrespect someone else over race and color.

I don't think she is racist. How is it the vast majority on the net says she is not racist while on tv & newspaper, say she is without doubt a racist? If they are so certain why didn't they run one of those polls where you phone in to swell up their coffers, or is that only restricted to trivial, uncontroversial topics and, would the outcome suggest otherwise?

I'm not sure had the arguments were allowed to continue and, if Jade wasn't pulled up in the diary room over it, whether the situation could have escalated in to a racist one. That said she always seems to take alot of holidays abroad and isn't Bermondsy (or whatever it called) a multicultural place?

As for her attitude, it's hardly suprising she behaved like a prima donna in the BB house especially as she appeared in her own shows like Jade's salon & Jade's pa and had her own column in the mags and papers and everyone sucked up to her. Perhaps she didn't like the idea that Shilpa was more of a star in her country than she is over here.

The answer to this question is Yes!!!!! I can't remember the person's name but that person hit the nail on the head-she is a 'hidden racist' and clearly does not know it as she is not intellectually inclined. And Kevin V in reference to your comment-Jermaine said that 'some people may perceive her as white trash' he never said that and White Trash is not a racist comment, its referring to class, even though that isn't pleasant either. The context of her arguments, the lashing back with the racial undertones is racist whether she meant them or not......only she can answer that. As a result, Jade Goody is finished in this country as she has ruined her reputation and comprimised the reputation of England and no one is going to stand for that. Call it what you may, cultural ignorance etc. its the same thing just a nicer word for racism. This isn't unknown to me, racism happens all the time, it just took a tv show to open ppl's eyes to it.

Is JG racist?

Yes, but she doesn't know it....

JG doesn't appear to be an overt racist, I mean she doesn't shout out that one race is better or worse than another.

I think she would be called a 'hidden racist' or a 'crypto-racist'. Hidden Racism hides under the veneer of political correctness that we have all been taught. You know you must say that you believe that everyone is equal, but when a person becomes threatened by another group it is the inner self that starts fighting back.

I would think that most educated and/or respecting people would understand that they have these hidden feelings and would challenge them internally before they opened their mouths. In the case of JG I just don't think she has the intellegence to understand and challenge these ingrained fears.

What does that mean for the rest of us? Does it mean that underneath we are all cryto racists? Yes it does, but we have been educated that it is wrong and we can challenge our feelings and re-programme ourselves. But this needs education; and that is something that poor JG is lacking.

who the hell is jade goody? Anyway, everyone is racist...it is human nature...if you think you are not, then you lack self knowledge. It comes natural to look down on anyone different and only by growing up and allowing ones' self to be educated can one escape the bondage of racism.

Answer is yes.

ive followed this drama, and to be honest i don't think she's intentionally racist NO. she is very ignorant, and does not think about what she says before saying it eg she lashes out to easily but thats probably her makeup. she IS someone who can bully people because that's how she came across. the fact that her dvd has shown to be a lie, yet she claims shilpa is a liar is such hypocritical rubbish.

A BULLY - YES
RACIST - NO
IGNORANT - DEF YES

no not at all in my eyes.
only people who are obsessed with racismm are pointing their fingers, and are loving the attention.I have never heard so much hatred aimed at a young woman in my life, and I am disgusted at the manner in which it is being done. I only wish the energy going into a young woman could be channeled into preventing terrorism, but no all the experts are too pervertedly busy stalking jade.its pathetic

Yes her statements were indeed racist.
I believe she is too ignorant and dimwitted to understand at what point she should stop, she doesn't realise how she crosses the line which has led her into alot of trouble.. all in the intention of looking 'cool'.
