I know this is a question that I can't really have anyone else answer but myself, but I am juggeling the three I really am interested in Court Reporting and being a Paralegal I have a 15 month old and I would like something that takes less time and pays well but mostly pays well less time would be more convenient for my situation but I'm looking for the long term goal of being happy and successful. So I was hoping that maybe someone reading this question has exeriance in one of these feilds and you can tell me what the perks would be. I'm not very good at math, I'm good at reading writing, typing. I'm more artistic than anything basically. Well, if anyone has experiance with any of these careers or knows someone who has worked in these feilds please share your knowledge with me. Thank you all

Yeah I'm looking for two years max, unless I can start working in the feild while I go to school then I wouldn't mind 3 or 4 years either.

If you are not very good at math and related studies I'd strongly recommend paralegal or court reporter.---Paralegal might be the most fun as it involves both legal research (reading) and helping to write papers. It also involves helping people---a lot. In some states you can sit for the state bar after practicing as a paralegal for a certain number of years. In some states you can work independantly as a paralegal in your own business assisting people with legal forms (but NEVER giving legal advice). It is much easier to get to law school as a paralegal than it is to get to med school as a radiologist!
good luck

I have a hearing loss and I have a court reporter who also does Real Time Captioning for me in my classes. Therefore I'd say do that as it offers a lot of flexibility in terms of jobs (eg you can work in court or in classrooms) plus there are advances in technology that can let you work from home (called Remote Captioning) so that you wouldn't even have to be in the classroom. It isn't the highest paying job but it is rewarding and has a fairly flexible schedule.
Second recommendation would be paralegal because it uses less math than radiology and you would be able to take work home and do it there.
Just so you know, one of the "court reporters" or captionist that I had actually made the most money working in a bar (just a thought if you don't mind working nights...)
Good luck with your choice =)

Each of these will require your going to school for about 2 years to earn either an Associates Degree or Certificate.

Paralegal and court reporting are definitely inter-related, so you might be able to pretty easily combine these two together. I don't teach in the paralegal department, so I cannot say whether court reporting classes are mixed in with the paralegal program, but that's easy enough to find out.

But radiology is totally different.

I am a Paralegal and the very first thing that I performed while I received conclude with institution and you're going to want this when you consider that such a lot companies do not wish to rent a paralegal that's contemporary out of institution. I received up and I positioned my resume available in the market and I performed paintings free of charge and I understand that sounds improper but when I didn't do this paintings I could be nonetheless at house so after they ask you're going to you are available in and perform a little part paintings inform them sure when you consider that enjoy will keep up greater than your 2 or 4 yr measure.

Paralegal can be pretty stressful ...lots of time crunches. Court reporting is a changing field and also can be stressful. Radiology I think can be less stressful, and I believe there is a larger demand for this field nationwide. You might look into MRI Tech . . . slightly longer program but a booming field with big money to be made right out of school.

I know some people who are court reporters, and it seems to be an extremely flexible career as you choose what cases you report. The downside is it takes a year or more of practice with a court reporting machine before you can pass your test and get certified.

Radiology is a good career field to try. you can get a associates or bachelors degree in it but if you get the bachelors you will have a greater chance of getting a job that pays better. and its a good field that pays well and its also kinda in demand.
