I mean, instead of debatting issues, all these Americans get into their brains that people who disagree with them are "anti-american" and blaming america first.
The whole point of a democracy is you CAN discuss issues and improve things. If you are afraid to consider things done by one's own country honestly, have can you improve. On an issue by issue basis, people will disagree, but there exists a forum to discuss it.
Some people seem to be afraid of the forum. Does that mean they are afraid their opponents have some truth to their arguments?

P.S For those of you who believe "liberals" never condemened the 911 attacks, read the 911 report!!! IT WAS WRITTEN BY DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS. The report not only condemned the attacks; it describes in DETAIL means of trying to avoid terrorist "successes", it discusses the motivations of the terrorists.
99.9% of Americans condemned the 911 attacks. In fact, most of the WORLD did, ...

I greatly appreciate your viewpoint. This is exactly how I felt when I first started to participate on this site. However, every time I posted what I believed to be a reasonable question worded specifically so not to offend others I was personally attacked. I am not exaggerating when I say every time. Feel free to review my questions. I don’t think that it is a problem with, the far left, the far right, conservatives, liberals, Dem. or Rep. it is the atmosphere of this particular community. I think this because everyone I know personally is very reasonable in consideration of others views regardless of their political beliefs

Not all but a lot of Americans have no clue what you are talking about. The pioneers that traveled through this land fighting for their rights, giving their lives and slinging a gun is looked upon as a bad thing today. Most people of America today wouldn't have the grit to do this. They would have tried to return to England.

That kind of closed mindedness isn't found only on the right, there's plenty of it on the left as well. I believe in open honest discussions without name calling. Prefer a system of checks and balances. We have lost touch in this country of what the correct steps are to keep it clean and in good working order.

Well considering the attacks we've had on our freedom of religion, coming from the left, I'd say, hardly.
You'll kindly note, however, that I've refrained from calling people anti-American. I wholly respect our 1st amendment right to free speech, which makes people free to disagree without fear or reprisal.

this sort of shrill response by those on the right is beginning to highlight the weakness of their position.
also the bush administration is in a great deal more trouble than it appears to be.
they are basically one court hearing away from an all out investigation of the illegal wire tapping scandal.
this is why bush has decided to suspend this program - as if that will stop the investigation of this illegal program that has been going on for the past five years.
the fact that bush has put a stop to this all but proves that the program has been used to spy on political enemies and not actual terrorists.
the fact is that bush is a very bad person, who has abused his power terribly.
nothing can stop the slow moving retribution moving towards him right now.
when it is revealed that bush spied on the kerry campaign a lot of those involved in his campaign will end up in prison...

Well thats true to a point. I do think at a certain point a lot of liberals have become anti-American.
And it hurts them at the polls. You have to go all the way back to 1998 to find an election where they did as well as they did this past election. I think they are going to be back in the minority in 2008 and they won't win the White House.
Democrats never voice any concern about terrorism and I have never heard any of them condem the 9-11 attacks. I hear them condem the President plenty though.
Thats Anti-Americanism in my book buddy.

No, it is Americans on the right who most support freedom in the world. We are willing to debate issues, we take exception to name calling & mindless slurs. There is a big difference.

Your post is non-sensical and I am tempted to report you for abuse for precisely that reason.
You ramble and rant about "all these Americans". Who? Who is calling you "anti-American"?
Who is saying you can't discuss issues? Who has said that they are afraid?
Your obsession with Americans "on the right" is disturbing and reeks of unhealthyness.

The left always supports are enemies.
Over the last 50 years, they have gotten, and deserved a bad reputation.
If one always supports our enemies, it means they are probably anti-American.
