No one remembers the little wing dings McDonalds used to promote called the Mighty Wings? I'm in Michigan, and every restaurant in detroit had the promotion when it came around. However, we haven't participated in the McRib promotion in a while either. Why did they stop doing their annual routine with them

They slowed up on it around '03 or '04

Having a "thing" for wing dings, I'd like to see that one come back. No, I don't remember it.

I do remember, a couple years ago, having their salads being promoted, with little walking meters, and urging folks to buy water. I was sorry when that campaign ended.

Forgot to mention, when we were out on the east coast, the McDonald's places were advertising McLobster rolls.

I remember the wings but all I remember was it was a long time ago. McDonald's just ended their McRib promotion here about a month ago. It comes around each year around November and lasts for about 4-6 weeks. I live in the Cincinnati area so come on down next fall lol

I've worked at about 10 different McDonald's restaurants since 1993 and I don't remember Mighty Wings. However since some of the restaurants are franchised by single owners and some of them are corporately owned, different items are not sold at some while they are sold at others. When I worked in Iowa, we had this promotion called the Burger of the Month which was then changed to the Taste of the Month about a month later. I've also worked at a McDonald's that served pizza. Some only serve 3 basic kinds of shakes while others have a 4th flavor that changes month to month. And back East in Maine, when I was visiting I saw McLobster Rolls on the menu.As far as the McRib promotion goes, I think just about every McDonald's that I've worked at always seems to bring it back year after year. Right now, at our local McDonald's here in Minnesota, they still serve them...I think it just depends if the restaurant is independently or corporately owned although even the independently owned ones have items that HAVE to be sold due to corporate McDonald's laws. I also think it depends on the area of the world that you are in as to what is popular to their customers. Restaurants are always going to sell what is going to be pleasing to their customers rather than items that aren't so popular. Basic supply and demand....

How long ago did McDonald's have their Mighty Wings? I've never heard of them before. Then again, I'm on the West Coast, and things out here are often different -- sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse!

I do remember the McRib promotions, though. I never tried them, but I vividly remember them.

Not all McDonalds sell the samethings. They go by what the competition is doing. Here in Iowa they never had those, but they do have the McRib during the winter months. Whenever they are doing new promotions, the old stuff gets put on the back burner for awhile.
