Try Pest Patrol ( http://www.pestpatrol.com/ ) if you want free spyware and virus protection software.
Or try your internet provider's home page. Many providers provide free virus and spyware protection software, as well.
Norton and McAfee both provide a very good product for a reasonable price, as well.
Popups usually come from two different sources.
The website you visit may have popups, but the number of these are limited for obvious reasons. If people are inundated by pop-ups every time they visit a particular site, they'll stop visiting pretty quickly.
You have some adware (advertising software) installed on your computer and your own computer is generating the pop-ups. The advertising software usually comes bundled with free software you downloaded off the internet. In fact, the advertising software is the reason you were able to get the software for free. The advertisers paid for it in order to get the chance to show you their commercials.
The extra advertising software that comes with free software is the reason I'd use a little caution in choosing to download free virus protection and spyware software. Pest Patrol really is what it says it is. Any virus protection or spyware protection offered by your internet provider is almost always trustworthy.
It's a cruel irony to download some off-the-wall spyware protection only to find it protects against everybody elses pop-ups EXCEPT the pop-ups it generates itself. In fact, I definitely wouldn't trust any spyware protection that's offered via a pop-up.

Those pop-ups are probably part of a virus. If you don't already have an anti-virus software running on your computer, get one! Your ISP may provide one for free - if not, it's well worth the $50 or so. Norton and McAfee are two common ones you can buy at any computer store or even on line. DON'T click on any link in those pop-ups - you'll just make things worse.
You should also get some free anti-virus programs, like Ad-Aware and Spybot. Unfortunately not every anti-virus program will catch every virus, so it's best to have a couple - one major one like Norton or McAfee (but not both) and one or two or more free ones.
Here's a link to download Ad-Aware:

Here's a link to download Spybot:

If You tell me what Anti-Virus program you have it would be easier to answer. In your virus program update virus definitions. (Updating Virus Definitions should be in the manual you got the virus protection.) Then run a full system scan. If nothing is detected that means there might not be a virus in your computer and the popup might just be to scan your computer. If it detects a spyware, malware, and other junk your virus protector might try to remove it. You don't have to worry too much.

Firstly disconnect your computer from the Internet to prevent further intrusions and then for quick free relief of spy-ware download "ad-aware" just google it. And if your willing to spend some cash get stopzilla it's about forty dollars DON'T download norton is totally sucks, get McAfee!

It sounds like that you have some malware on your computer. Download Microsoft Windows Defender from
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
and scan your PC. Also, install a virus scanner like Norton's or McAfee, they work well.

You can try with Norton anti virus but don't try with any other spy wares which will further harm your computer. Or it is better run live safety from Microsoft in your computer. The website address is www.safety.live.com and proceed with the website instructions.
