I own a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe EX and love it. Your question was the same exact question I had for the salesperson at the dealership that sold me my car. Though I love my Civic the answer is based on a few critierias. Though the Civic is a less expensive car you will find more value in a Accord because of supply and demand issues and also because next year the Accord will be redesigned. Also the Accord can accomadate more people comfortablely - so if you have family or friends your going to drive around I say choose the Accord. For power choose the Accord. For gas mileage I say it is a toss-up because even though my Civic says I should be getting 30 to 40mpg I think it is more like 27 to 30mpg - which is not bad. However if you factor in the power to the mpg equation you might choose the Accord because even though it might only get you like 19 or 21mpg you are getting considerably higher horsepower. As for fun - I say go with the Civic because it is a really a fun car to drive but note the Civic is seriously in higher demand than the Accord which means you will get a much better deal on the Accord.
Good Luck,

The Accord is more spacious and more powerful, uses more gas, and is more luxurious. The Civic is less expensive and gets better fuel economy. They are both nice cars I temporarily drive my sisters 2000 civic coup and i really like it. Ive driven it for about six months now but am finally getting my own RSX, but the Civic gets around 35 MPG so that is bonus. The accord if money is not an issue I would go with for the fact that they are more powerful and bigger. Both are a good choise and will last for a long time with little maintenance.

Honda Civic is better. More fuel efficient than the Honda Accord and it is about the same size. It is also not as expensive as the Accord.

I own a Civic and my sister has an Accord. If I had it to do over, I would definitely go with the Accord. I love my Civic, but the Accord has more power, more room, and a lot less road noise. It's definitely worth the extra $$.

Personally I like the Accord more, just because I think the Civic is too small.

Lots of different considerations such as an accord can be gotten with a 6 cylinder instead of just the standard 4 cylinder. The extra power and acceleration are very helpful and actually a safety feature.
You also need to consider availability of anti-lock brakes and other safety features. You need to do a little work to compare. Check-out

Go with the Civic
Or wait till the new model Accords come out in 2008. The ones out right now are dated

The one you can afford to buy and afford to keep up. Civic is less expensive and less expensive to maintain, and the Accord slightly more than the Civic.
