Agreed. Super Mario Bros. 3 is probably the best Mario game, followed by Super Mario World.

Mine's Super Mario sunshine.it's because it's one of the only 3-d mario games and sometimes bosses actually challenge me(unlike some games i've played).

I would have to say the Donkey Kong where mario first appeared because without that we wouldn't have any Mario games, I can't wait for Mario Galaxy comes out for the Wii

I don't have a favourite, they're all amazing. When was the last time you had that much fun on a 'New Generation' platformer? They don't make 'em like they used to...fall off a cliff with Mario and you smile; fall off a cliff with Lara Croft and you feel like jumping through a window! Ha Ha. I'd love to see who will be the first to bring back 2D platformers back, they'll rake it in. Trouble I've found with the 'New' 3D platform games is the camera angles...Trying to jump a huge cliff and halfway through - it switches all back to front...all the controls get reversed and you're plummeting down that ravine like a super charged lemming - thats not what we pay for!

the original no doubt about it. i quit playing these 8 bit games as soon as i upgraded to play stations 1 and2. but nowadays i can appreciate the classics. i think they nintendo ought share the rights with the other game companies so they can transfer the game on xbox and ps2 formats.
