Normally you should be able to simply "delete" them by selecting them and then hitting the delete button. But since that's obvious you've got some problems with permission I think. Do this:
1. after navigating to "my pictures", select one of the pictures, then select properties. You may have the picture permissions set in a way that keeps you from deleting them.
Try deselecting "read-only" for example. Also check the permissions under the security tab to verify that the user you are logged in as (usually the group permissions) has permissions other than just "read".

First you have to find the picture, double click it so it has its own window than click on the X button on the bottom. Then it will say "are you sure you want to send _______ to the recycle bin?" Click on YES then close the window look on your desktop to find the Recycle Bin double click that and on the side it has a list and click on Empty the Recycle Bin. OK?

Go to My documents, then My Pictures.
when you see the pic that you want to delete, just click on it once. when it changes color, it is selected. You can click the X button on the tool bar, or you can "right-click" your mouse to find a dropdown list. Look for delete, the click on that..
Good luck!
