Congradulations!!! This is the hardest part I think, at least it was for me. I quit smoking last April 8th. I had 2 really bad asthma attacks on the same day & almost died. I had to stay in the ICU for 2 weeks. That scared me into finally deciding to quit smoking. I had tried before after other asthma attacks, but I would always start again after a few weeks when I was breathing good again. Stupid I know! But I was really addicted.. What kept me from smoking this time after a couple of months was I didn't want to break my record. I was proud of how many days, weeks & months I had went without a cigerette & I didn't want to mess that up. Plus it really is nice not having to worry about buying cigerettes, always needing to smoke when I drive, talk on the phone, after I would eat, before I went to sleep, first thing in the morning, whenever I was upset, bored, happy, mad, stressed out & a whole list of other times. I can't believe how many years I spent smoking, It seems so dumb now. Well I hope this helps you a little bit at least to not start smoking again! Again, Congradulations!! Good luck!!! You can do it!!

I haven't had a cigarette for 26 years, and am damn glad I've quit! Keep it up!!! It gets better as time goes by. Find something else to do with your hands and mouth. I chewed on toothpicks. You'll get a wiff of smoke now and then, and it'll smell pretty good, but don't let that draw you in.

Usually people who smoke do so because they have an oral fixation and a need to do something with their hands. If you don't focus on it,it kinda just fades into the background the more time passes by.
Find something else to keep your mouth and hands busy (knows all the things that could be said about that 1 statement but not being pervy being honest).I started chewing gum instead....
Good Luck & Congrats,

If it's been more then 24hrs have her parents file a missing persons report. It might be nothing, but at least the cops can help look for her.

Haven't had one since Oct 1st, 2004. My cravings are completely gone. In fact, I'm turning into one of those militantly anti-smoking freaks, because they are disgusting to me now!
Just go one day at a time---one HOUR at a time if necessary.
I wish you best of luck--it is very hard to do!
