i want to be a good supporter in my friend moving but i cant?

I have the same problem but I'm afraid that the only thing you can do is meet new people and just visit your friend and also try to make girl friends too.

So he is the one moving? If so, there's no reason to say "make new ones".

Anyhow, you really gotta see from his view point. He probably doesn't like it either and moving isn't easy. He needs support right now because moving literally changes your life and teaches you a lot of lessons. It's OK to wish that he wouldn't go and stuff, but support him by encouraging him. Spend all the time you can with him and e-mail or IM him or get his MySpace address. He needs YOUR support, girl, and you should try and give it to him.

You'll make it through and so will he-trust me.

you should really try to show support instead of sadness, because even though youre sad because he's moving, you are in a place where you can easily feel at home with people you know. He's moving somewhere where he'll be alone, and be much more miserable than you'll be. I should know... i moved away from my best and only friend, and i felt horrible for almost a year. even though you should try to move on, keep in contact. email and call him, so that you can keep your friendship strong.

When one of my friends was moving, I told him that I didn't really want him to leave, but it was because of my own selfish reasons and that I understood that he had to go and that I would TRY to put my selfish reasons aside but I couldn't make any promises.
