How many of you were thrilled to hear Simon say the things he said?

Personally, I think that these folks are simply wasting Simon, Paula & Randy's time, and that it's insulting to them to continue with these try-outs.

I also think that they have begged to be judged (literally, they stood in line for days just to hear the opinions of these professionals), so why shouldn't Simon say it was horrible, when it was horrible?

I think if you're gonna be mad at someone, it shouldn't be these judges, but instead the people in your life who have said they love you, but then allow you to make an idiot of yourself on national television. Really, those moms who stand there saying, "It's okay, honey, we know you have talent" to those people who really have no talent, are leaving their kids open to additional pain and ridicule.

I totally agree!!!!! If the family members to these goof balls that keep making fools of themselves really cared about them they would tell them they SUCK!!!! It is sooooo ridiculous to see these hermit crabs that look like they have not stepped a foot out of their homes ever, make total idiots of themselves!!!! I cannot believe people are honestly that stupid to think that they are soooo good!!! Simon is being honest! It is a shame that the families to these people don't fill them in on how bad they are before Simon CRUSHES them.... And, one more thing... Rosie has nooooooo room to talk about SIMON She is the biggest and I do mean biggest hypocrite out there. She acts as if she feels so bad for these people but, how many people has she talked about in her CAREER?????

I totally agree with you and Texasgirl. Simon tells it like it is and no one wants to hear it. I think I would be doing the same thing as him if I had to sit in that room hour after hour listening to people who CAN'T sing. How much screeching and off-key singing can a person put up with. I can't believe these people believe that they can sing, then get all bent out of shape when told they can't. I also agree he really shouldn't put down their appearance or the way they dress, but then again some of them come in dressed the way they are I think they want Simon to say something about them so they can start arguing with him, then leave the room crying so people feel bad for them. I hope they all get a tape of their audition to see how terrible they really were and how they acted and that Simon is only telling them the truth.

Each time I watch the auditions, I wonder why in the world some of the contestants tried out. They've got to know they don't stand a chance.

I think Simon is always right in his evaluation of the contestants. However, I think some of his remarks are cruel and mean.
It's one thing to made a comment about their performance, because they have to realize that they will receive a critique, and they know what to expect from Mr. Cowell. But in my opinion, remarks about their appearance are not appropriate. For example, when Simon made some cutting remarks to that one guy about his "bug" eyes and that he looked like a "jungle creature," I thought that was totally uncalled for.

I don't know if it was just me or not, but I thought Paula was acting a bit weird. Can't put my finger on it, but just......kinda out there.

Randy, bless his heart, seemed the same as always.

I agree with you! I thought it was Hilarious when that one guy sung 'Unchained Melodies' and when he got done Simon goes "What the bloody Hell was that" lol.. I love simon he is hilarious.. absolutely my favorite part of the show.. well and the bad singing.. haha..
