Personally, I think that these folks are simply wasting Simon, Paula & Randy's time, and that it's insulting to them to continue with these try-outs.
I also think that they have begged to be judged (literally, they stood in line for days just to hear the opinions of these professionals), so why shouldn't Simon say it was horrible, when it was horrible?
I think if you're gonna be mad at someone, it shouldn't be these judges, but instead the people in your life who have said they love you, but then allow you to make an idiot of yourself on national television. Really, those moms who stand there saying, "It's okay, honey, we know you have talent" to those people who really have no talent, are leaving their kids open to additional pain and ridicule.
