I've heard this phrase in multiple song lyrics, and I don't understand what it means.

It means that he has a very wrinkled face, usually weary, that makes him look as though he has seen alot of all types of living, usually hard living, perhaps in many parts of the world. That people share a universal struggle to survive.

I believe that it means, the man has aura/persona or look of someone who is very knowledgeable, well travelled, although he may not have been all over the world he has seen enough to share a multitude of experiences and anecdotes.

LOL @ everybody's photographs. :-) i've got not actual considered Indi make a "propose" face earlier, i've got on no account even considered her snarl or something! I heavily purely appeared via all of my photographs and could not discover one.. communicate approximately fail haha.

It means a wrinckled face. I have read this phrase in those 'wild west' old books.

Would depend on the context. Offhand, it means the guy's face is really wizened and wrinkled. Either that means he's very old, or he 'looks' old.

it means 'he' is an alcoholic,with broken veins syndrome, little red thread veins going off in different directions, and he can give you directions to any threshers or beer sellers in the cosmos! (actually,i know the answer is all of the above,so i thought id have a little mess around,)
