Have we degraded so much as a society to think that all these "reality" show are truly real life...I mean take Survivor..i mean please could I do all those athletic things..no, BUT i know i could survive better than any of them. I mean I sat throw em on an island and say survive,,heres a walkie talkie and if you want to get off we will come get you but you lose..Now thats survivor. Lets take American Idiot (Idol) If anyone ever spoke to me like that Id break there legs, simon would have his throught ripped out.. BUT we LOVE to see this stuff. I am just wondering why its gone to this...Now we have celebrities portraying cops..WHO CARES with any luck they'll get shot! So my question is why do we watch this CRAP?????

i hate reality tv. i'd rather watch a nice show like reba.... anyway, you have a point. You see people on this "reality tv" and then you try to live up to them and try to be them and it's not right. this isn't what life's really about, people!!!!

Honestly, i hate the shows and won't watch most of them, but there are some that i just cannot turn away from. Seeing the train wrecks that these people are just really makes me feel better about myself, especially the celebrity "reality shows".
I can't think of anything that entertains me more right now than watching some pretentious, rich, celebrity get crushed on TV.

For the same reason people like watching train wrecks...or rubberneck when they drive by an accident.
I agree about American Idol, I think it's stupid. I do watch Survivor and the Amazing Race though..

Who claimed they are truly real life?
IMO the title of the show "Survivor" does not refer surviving in the wilderness, but rather to surviving the social situation the players are put in.

Because I live in a town with no stop signs and everyone is 140. You have to find something exciting somewhere. I think it makes people feel better about themselves when they see all these pathetic lunatics doing all this crazy stuff.

whats wrong on wachting out to your window, same thing, offcourse very well edited so can fit in hour show or half hour show, so people can get known more than others, you know simon and you hate him, but you know him, but who knows me ? not to many and you may not hate me :)
so who cares, if you like it wacht it if you dont turn off your TV and see same thing around you alive .
personaly I like Donald Trump show , I dont know how much is truth how much is not , But i have to pretend that is real, ( even when I wacht a terror movie I have to pretend is real other wise is not fun ) so Tv is entertainment dont get too much attach to it.
take it easy.
Turn off your tv and turn on your computer, you have more control over it and is more educative .

I have no Idea why people watch these ............except for "AMERICAN IDOL", my favorite show of all time. They find some of the BEST talent. I also like all of the Judges. Jolly Randy, Beautiful Paula, and Honest Simon. Simon is my favorite; his expressions - WOW, just the best.
