How serious is has emotional affair gone after I find letters from my husbands ex saying he'd be happier if he was divorced or discussing their past sexual history. Phone calls, e-mails, letters all over a span of about 10 months during a deployment and shortley after. He says it's nothing, but he told her he hated me.

You don,t need our advice,you can see for yourself.Letters saying he would be happy if he was divorced,plus he hates you...What does that tell you? why would you even want him?You need to get copies of those letters and e-mails,and if you have a house these letters will help you to put him out of the home if you and him have one...I would give him what he wants a DIVORCE,if he wants it and make him pay for it...I would run not walk from his life and never look at him ever again

He's telling you one thing, her another. That's a nice way of saying he's a liar.
I would say this is extremely serious. I would have been long gone. Phone calls and e-mails to his ex add up to no good. I'm willing to bet you deserve much better. Try to move one and find someone who is honest with you.

well i think if it really is nothing then you should ask him to get some marital counseling. if he refuses then that will tell you that it much more than nothing and proceed from there. and PS i am also going through a deployment...so i am sorry that you waited for him all that time and then you had to endure this. but remember..any woman married to a military man is a strong woman..so no matter what happens youll be ok hon.

Insist that he block all mail from her, return her letters, and ignore her phone calls. You may need to get a restraining order against her. She sounds like a stalker.

i'd be out of that marriage. if my husband told his ex that he hated me...it would be over.
i know that this may be hard for you right now, but you don't want to keep someone in a relationship if they don't want to be there.
