I'm looking to buy a new car- 2007 model. I keep hearing how the Audi quattro will outperform a BMW in the snow, which isn't surprising considering the quattro's a 4 wheel drive and the BMW is a rear wheel drive. But what about comparing the quattro to a 4 wheel drive BMW (the "ix" series)? Which one would you rather have and why?

bmw a little pricier but retains value a little better. as far as the 4 wheel drive, both systems will work fine- so it's essentially a wash. go with whichever one you like the most- they're both good cars.

Well not to sound like a jerk but it's xi. Gut I would go with the Audi. Audi has been doing their quatro series forever to bmw only doing it for a couple of years. Bmw actually released their first 5 series xi this year and it still has some bugs. But besides the all weel drive they are totally different cars. The entirior and motors are different so if all your asking is about the all weel drive, id go with Audi. But if your asking about which car is better go and test drive the both of them. It's your money pick your favorite!

Audi has a protracted heritage of creating AWD automobiles than BMW, and a protracted and larger valuable race heritage with an same. yet, I nonetheless like the BMW AWD if the funds are equivalent, yet that continuously isn't the case, so verify the provider expenses and coverage earlier determining.
