BECAUSE the UTOPIA you are describing ,has never, ever happened in all of history. We simply do not learn from past wrong doings , because we are all too competitive . And with all do respect, I can not imagine that there never has been a person, that has rubbed you the wrong way. we are all flawed and have our biases, not matter what - even with green people!

but it doesn't mean, we should not strive to reach out and do our best in promoting peace to all on this globe - religion is one of the most horrendous evils we have to deal with today. I believe in Jesus but cant stand the human founded institution that supposedly represents him. So that would include all religions on the face of this earth! no good - destruction ,death and war.

As far as the animals are concerned look around you , people killing for the pure fun of it. would you eat a cougar? I didn't think so ! how about Pitt bull fights , safaris , bull fights , killing just to watch something die. I think some of us are beyond repair. so many species are going extinct every year in the name of human control and destruction . we are all a mess.

and yet nothing is done in the name of it all , you and billions of others wish nothing more but to join your pursuit of UTOPIA .

SO, GOOD LUCK , DON'T LET ANY ONE TAKE YOU OF TRACK FOR YOUR DREAMS - ITS WHAT WE ALL LIVE FOR!

The problem comes from the human need to act as a 'tribe', society, culture. Therefore anyone that acts outside those rules that individual cultures provide are treated as outcasts. Within the 'tribal unit' is a need to control and often that control manifests itself in violence. The problem with violence is that once it happens it starts a very dabgerous and never ending cyle, so much so that it no longer becomes a question of who is right or wrong, but of survival!

So, were you just asking this to get words of agreement, or were you actually expecting a serious answer? And if the latter, why do you think such an answer wasn't postulated forever ago?

A question that's been asked since the beginning of time. It's called GREED. It breeds jealousy, power, envy, hate, and ever other destructive emotion.

Okay im debating whether or not i should say anything because you really do pose good issues, but there are these little punctuation marks called periods & commas.....
They make for great written grammar!

I think we are not mature enough yet as a species. We still have this need to belong to a tribe, and a very easy way to reinforce that tribe is to have outsiders. Maybe one day, it will happen.
